Culture and Tourism Minister Mehmet Nuri Ersoy met Jet2 CEO Steve Heapy and Joachim Seip of Germany’s Dertour Group in Antalya and Istanbul to discuss Türkiye’s 2026 tourism targets, early booking trends, and joint campaigns.
Talks focused on cooperation in the German and U.K. markets, campaign performance, budget planning, and market‑specific actions. Officials noted Türkiye’s strong position in both operators’ portfolios, with Dertour also channeling visitors from Austria, Czechia, Hungary, Romania, and Slovakia.
Advertising campaigns and supply security measures have reinforced Türkiye’s standing, especially in Germany, which is expected to play a decisive role in meeting 2026 goals. Early‑year sales show recovery, with summer outlook described as positive.
Türkiye’s tourism revenue reached $65.2 billion in 2025, up 6.8 percent, and the 2026 target is set at $68 billion.
